Introduction

'Music in the Art Tradition since 1900' is a MMus module at the Department of Music, Royal Holloway, University of London, running January-March 2018.

This course introduces students to a range of historical, analytical and aesthetic approaches to understanding the broad trends of art music since 1900.

This blog is a companion site to the course, where students will 'guest-edit' posts on the topics of the course. Students will be free to provide links to useful background reading, or listening, or to write extended digests of the main readings for each session.

Posts signed 'DE' are written by Dr Daniel Elphick, course convenor and blog moderator.

Check back to this site from late January to see updates from students.
